of Automobile Engineers recently met, ;the following award's in respect of tile 1940-41 session were made:—Crompton Medal to Dr. H. E. Merritt, for a paper entitled "The Scope of Gear Research "; second graduate's prize (value £8) to Mr. C. D. Carmichael, B.Sc., of the London Graduates' Branch, for his paper entitled " Aero Engine Cooling." The first graduate's prize was not awarded.
