THE FIRST of a new range Econolite plastic refrigerati bodies was launched last weel It is built on a Bedford TL 121 chassis for Swift Meat Compar and is claimed to give a 30 p cent increase in payload cor pared to a riveted van.
For the Swift vehicle, payload of over six tons claimed on the 12.5 ton gro chassis, which takes into a count the fridge, meat rails at the aerodynamic aids.
The sides of the body are Ec nolite freezer panels of 100m (3.9in) thickness filled with foa insulation.
The roof and front bulkhet are of the same material ar thickness with the rear doors b ing 75mm (2.9in) thick foam i sulated.
