Having a worldwide ICI responsibility for advising on materials handling, containerization and warehouse design and operation, Mr Donald Crawford has had to master many practical aspects of container use. With the aid of a short film and some slides he'll be highlighting some of the problems (and solutions) in moving goods by container. The effect of container internal dimensions (which vary) on pallets and packages and the effect of container usage on warehouse design will be two of his themes.
Mr Crawford has been with ICI for 20 years, involved in every aspect of distribution, notably transport, packaging and stock control. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials Handling and a member of the Institute of Packaging.
