has dismissed appeals by Western National Omnibus Co. Ltd. and Southern National Omnibus Co, Ltd. against a decision of the Eastern Traffic Commissioners granting D. R. MacGregor (trading as Hedingham and District Omnibuses) a variation of a road service licence for excursions
and tours starting from Sible Hedingham.
The evidence offered as to the need or desirability of the proposed extended tours to Torquay was not of great strength, said the Minister: on the other hand, it appeared that the alternative services offered by the appellants did not offer comparable facilities.
