a £2m DC in Sheffield after outgrowing its existing site in the city. It includes a 33,500ft2 facility, which will increase its pallet storage capacity from 1,500 to 6,000.
A second phase of expansion will see an additional 16,500ft2 developed by May 2014, boosting capacity to 9,000 pallets.
Sales and marketing director Earl Robinson said: "We are running out of room. We are an expanding company and we outsource 2,000 pallets to various people and companies that have the room. We want it all back under one roof and under our control."
The first phase is scheduled to be completed by August and the move will create more warehousing and driving jobs.
HSBC is providing £1.8m for the United Pallet Network member's expansion plans.
