Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

that was designed from the outset as a "super cab", and it is in the opinion of most of our testers still the most majestic of all, although several other cabs now offer a similar overall volume. It also still the only cab that feels like a proper room.

In one respect the Renault has never been outdone: the floor height of 1.70m. Combined with the low windscreen base this gives an exceptional view of the road. The floor of the Magnum's cab is completely flat, making it easy for the driver when dressing or undressing. There is enough storage room though not for larger pieces of luggage.

There are too few places to put small items within easy reach of the driver unless the refrigerator is fitted—odds and ends can be put on top of this, The one-piece lower mattress is thick but not really big enough, and of course Dick Kroon had something to say about its construction. The polyether foam material is "not the right type" and the wooden base is unventilated. The composition of a soft layer surrounded by two hard layers is none too durable either: "after two years the driver will be steeping in a hole".

As for the upper bunk, it is "no real bed, but a sort of hammock" suitable only for storing items.

On the other hand, the Magnum was big enough to take the whole set of luggage, with a specific place for everything.

So the Renault is an adequate, even comfortable, place for a lone driver, but not really suitable for two.
