cabs on test. The high roof Roadhaus, badged as the ommander XT in the Netherlands, gives the impression of quality and has many clever details, like the boxes in which you can put the curtains during the day or the fact that both doors have room for a one-and-a-half litre bottle. In the cab there are numerous lamps and spotlights. There is no central switch to turn them all on or off together.

The space under the lower bed measures 422 litres and is the second-largest after the Dal. This space can be used over the full width of the cab. The outside locker is situated under this space, so does not intrude. A couple of gas struts would be welcome to keep the bed upright when it is opened.

A point of criticism is that taller drivers might touch the edge of the lower bed with their elbow while changing gear.

The MAN scored extremely well in the Dutch tests, and all were agreed that it's a great cab to driveā€”but not so good to sleep in.
