BRITAIN'S roads are getting bet ter, according to the Nationa Road Maintenance Conditiot Survey.
Over the five years of the sur vey there has been a "trend to wards improvement" on urbar (principal), urban (unclassified) rural (principal) and rural (othe classified) roads. There has beer no change in trends on trunk urban (other classified), and ru ral (unclassified) roads, says th( Department of Transport Motorways are not covered b) the surveys.
