The Third Edition of "The British Commercial Vehicle Industry" Attracts Much Favourable Comment THE recently published third edition of that comprehensive review of British products in the field of road transport, "The British Commercial Vehicle Industry," has been received by transport users, commercial-vehicle importers and agents, governmental and loeal authorities in all parts of the world with even greater appreciation and enthusiasm than were accorded to previous editions.

Enlarged in scope, with more pages, many new illustrations and up-to-date specifications;this book has already proved its value in our overseas markets as a means for .-promoting interest in British products and providing as much information concerning each of them as can be embodied in one publication.

The contents Include details of goods and passenger vehicles of all types, municipal and specialized models, and bodywork Torthese, proprietary units including engines, components, accessories and tyres, and workshop equipment. Particularly useful is a geographical index to vehicle makers' overseas factories and distributors.

A lightning index to good vehicles by payload capacities has been introduced for the first time. Another new feature is a section dealing specifically with trolleybus equipment, in which there is a good deal of interest overseas.

Eire.—Arthur Guinness, Son and Co., Ltd., writes: "This commendable production meets the needs of every commercial vehicle and industrial unit operator, and provides at instant calling ready reference to problems which arise practically daily."

South Afriea.—The Imperial Cold Storage and Supply CO., Ltd., says: A34

"We have perused this book carefully, and found it to be of very great interest. We wish to compliment you on the way the data has been compiled, with special mention of the colour-code system for easy identification of the main sections. We have circulated this book amongst our branches and subsidiaries, and feel sure that it will prove an invaluable guide for the purchasing of heavy-duty vehicles."

Upholding Prestige

Albion Motors (Overseas), Ltd., writes: "May we be permitted to congratulate all those responsible for the layout, the quality of the paper, the attractive advertisements and the wealth of information, which, perhaps, only those who are far removed from the scene of manufacture are in a position fully to • appreciate. The Electricity Suppl4 Commission —Rand Undertaking, remarks:, "We have found this volume of great interest, and a most helpful guide to our transport problems."

Thailand.—Anglo-Thai Motors, Ltd., says: "We would like to congratulate you on this, publication, which is not only interesting but also extremely valuable to us in locating the manufacturers of specialized bodies, etc."

Cochin China.—Peirce, Leslie and Co., Ltd., a British concern, writes: " We would like to congratulate you on this production, which appears to us to be an admirable one. As we are considering the purchase of works trucks and • tractors, it arrived most opportunely, and we are confident that it will prove of great value to us."

Swaziland, Africa.—The government engineer of the Public Works Department, Swaziland, refers to the production as the most useful book of reference and adds:"It has been of considerable assistance to me in recent inquiries made locally for a three-axled tract& unif capable of operating with, a 30-ton low-bed semi-trailer."

Nairobi, Africa.—D. T. Dobie and Co. (E.A.), Ltd., writing from Nairobi, says: "This book is of great assistance to us in our business as vehicle importers and distributors."
