Kilmarnock-based Blackwood Plant Hire has bought an Andover Trailers tri-axle step-frame, with low-profile neck and beavertail. The 12.5m-long trailer will be used to carry 30-tonne excavators for renewable energy firms undertaking wind farm construction. Tom Blackwood, owner of Blackwood Plant Hire, says: “Shortening the wheelbase was vital.”
