• The Olympic Route Network (ORN) will begin on 25 July, two days ahead of the opening ceremony, according to Transport for London (TfL). The 109-mile network of roads will ensure all athletes and officials make it, via exclusive Games Lanes, to their events on time. A guide to road hotspots can be found at www. getaheadofthegames.com.
• TfL has released its Freight Journey Planner to help hauliers plan journeys during the Games. Developed by Pie Mapping, it calculates the most appropriate route to take based on the date, time of day and the vehicle’s dimensions. For more details, go to www.tfl.gov.uk/2012freight
