Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE AUCTIONS

"As far as six-wheelers are concerned, they usually have a long first life lasting five to seven years because of the equipment that is often associated with

them." Chris Wright

Independent auctioneer Chris Wright is managing director of Commercial Vehicle Auctions based at Doncaster. He holds sales on two Wednesdays each month with a throughput of 160-200 trucks, 80-150 trailers and items of plant. Wright also conducts sales around the country at customers' premises.

"I would be surprised if anyone has seen any examples from the heavy end of the Atego range at auction," he says. "They are not even included in the CAP Red Book yet; I don't believe they came onto the market until mid-1999. We have only just started to see some of the 7.5-tonne four-wheelers, which were launched in September 1998, come through.

"We had a block of five and only two sold, rather reluctantly. Word must have got around before the following sale because they were snapped up for a good price and we could have sold more.

"As far as six-wheelers are concerned, they usually have a long first life lasting five to seven years because of the equipment that is often associated with them. I don't know how many Atego six-wheelers Mercedes-Benz has sold but don't expect to see many for quite a while."
