Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Volkswagen has introduced a number of revisions to its van range for the 2002 model year, including new engines and a new weight range for the LT van, with payload increases for much of the Transporter line-up. The Caddy is unchanged.

LT detail changes include white indicator lenses and tinted glass, with ABS and EDL (electronic differential lock) as stan

dard on all models (previously a £750 option on the lightest LT28 variants). There is also a new LT32 model at 3,200kg GVWVW says it is Ideal for customers whose needs are bal anced between payload and price". Payload is around 1,3001,400kg according to wheelbase, and LT32 models typically cost about £1300 less than the equivalent LT35s.

All LTs are now powered by turbo-diesels offering more torque at no extra cost; towards the end of this year a 158hp, 2.8-litre TDI engine will replace the current 130hp unit.

The base-model Transporter is still the 800 Special, with a nominal payload of 800kg and the naturally aspirated 68hp 1.9-litre diesel. Its list price has been frozen at £11,090 (ex-VAT).

All other Transporter models will be rated at a 1,200kg payload; existing 1,200kg models have had their prices cut by £80.

VW points out that 'windowvan' variants—with glass in the side loading door—are now eligible for VAT rebates as their payloads are more than L000kg.
