• Maintenance problems and difficulties over the use of a new operating centre, ed to Neath-based B&D Richards appearing at disciplinary proceedings before South Wales Traffic Commissioner John Mervyn Pugh.
For the firm, Richard Ambrose said there were problems with Neath Borough Council over the parking of vehicles at Cimla Common because access to the firm's new operating centre at Tonna was being blocked in a dispute between the landowners and another tenant. As a consequence, Richards was actively seeking alternative premises.
Prohibitions 'imposed on vehicles in January had all been delayed, and none had indicated neglect, said Ambrose.
Adjourning the proceedings, Mervyn Pugh said the firm had to find a new operating centre and then seek to vary its licence. He did not intend to impose a time limit, but the proceedings could be resumed at the request of either the council or Richards.
