• David Johnstone Haulage is being forced out of its 930m2 site at Kirkpatrick Fleming, near Gretna Green in Scotland, where is has been since 1946, because it is the path of the proposed new M74.
Scott Wylie, a partner in the family-run business which specialises in hauling plaster board, says the company is reducing its 10-vehicle fleet to one vehicle and two trailers until new premises are found. "We feel we've had a fair deal from the Scottish Development Department and will run a tighter operation until the market picks up."
