Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new brick carrying trailer built by Montracon in conjunction with AtlasWeyhausen and Tyrone Brick uses a sliding crane mounted with outriggers to eliminate chassis twist.

Longitudinal beams on the trailer are raised and cross members lowered to allow the wheels of the crane to move along the top of the beams. Independently-controlled hydraulic outriggers take the lifting weight and will accommodate uneven ground.

For safety the operator sits on the crane for an uninterrupted view of the 9.63m-long load space, which can carry up to 9,000 bricks.

The AK4003C crane. developed specially for the West German market, has a fully-extendible 8.0m boom with continuous rotator and Fielder N10 brick grab with 914mm gripper frames.

While carrying palletised loads, safety side gates with curtains prevent loose brick fragments from falling from the trailer.

In order to minimise brick damage. and to maintain a level load platform on uneven sites, Tyrone Brick specified Flexair suspension over the RO-R 10-tonne axles and twin wheels.

The Jim trailer, Tyrone's second, has a tare weight of 9.2 tonnes.
