• Ray Smith and GRP Massey have combined to produce a pair of demountable refrigerated containers for a BRS Western contract with LMS Distribution to serve Seelink cross Channel ferries.
Based on a Daf 1900 rigid, the GRP panelled swop bodies are built to ATP standards and offer dual temperatures via a movable bulkhead.
Refrigeration is by a Carrier Mistral 700 fitted to the front bulkhead, with a mains standby for shipboard use.
The Folkestone-based units are served by three drawbar outfits operated by LMS out of its Southampton depot.
