THE SPECIALIST vehicle hire market has been entered by Eurofleet Rental Ltd, with such units as 30.4cum (40 cu yd) tippers, step-frame tilt trailers and step-frame vans with double side-loading doors.
The company, which already rents out standard and TIR trailer outfits, intends to offer 12 m (4 0 ft)
refrigerated semi-trailers shortly, built to high spec and including meat rails and a painted interior.
Eurofleet is also entering the plant and machinery carrying market with the new Taskers F5 beaver-tail lowloader fitted with loading ramps and a 4-ton winch and plated for 32 tons gcw. The company claims to be the only rental organization offering all boxvans to TIR and crownlock specification.
Over 13m ban
THE proposed ban on heavy commercial vehicles in Liverpool city centre will affect only vehicles over 13 metres in length, Merseyside Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been told. Vehicles over this length would be allowed to enter the zone if the permission of the chief constable was received 24 hours previously.
