Bookings are still coming in strongly for the Commercial Motor Fleet Management Conference at the London Hilton Hotel on September 19. Principal speakers are: Mr. Frank Cousins, general secretary, TGWU; Mr. G. W. Quick Smith, chief executive, Transport Holding Company: and Mr. l. Swatman, chief engineer, turbine operations, Ford Motor Co., USA. They will present papers respectively on pay and productivity; road-rail competition and co-ordination; and the potential of gas turbines for trucks. Three other experts will join them for a question-and-answer session on current and future transport problems.
