• Of the two vehicles owned by the Bootle firm of T. Regan, one had been scrapped last September and the other had disappeared, Mr. A. H. Jolliffe, North Western deputy LA, was told on Tuesday in Liverpool when the company was applying to replace the Blicensed vehicles with two to be hired. Mr. Terence Regan said that since the death of his father, Michael Regan, last December he had been unable to obtain any documents relating to the business from the executrix, in whose name the company had originally been placed when his father had purchased a special A licence.
The company had undertaken meat haulage as a sub-contractor of Regan Bros. (Haulage) Ltd., London. On December 6 1967 the latter firm had gone into liquidation and his two brothers had since formed London and Continental Trailer Services Ltd., having bought the good will of Regan Bros. from the executrix, said Mr. Regan. London and Continental had lasf month been granted a licence for 22 vehicles in the Metropolitan area and it was for them that the Liverpool company would continue to obtain work. He was anxious to get the business going again.
Mr. Jolliffe reserved his decision.
