Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Lightweight stressed construction in hightensile steel, eliminating the need for side stiffeners, gussets or cross-members, enables a new Telehoist tipper body to accommodate a payload of 10,5 tons on a typical (Bedford K MS) chassis within 16 tons g.v.w.

This new body design puts the stresses through the strong top rails, comer posts and two longitudinal body runners, while fillet floor sections and external top rails ensure a smooth tipping operation.

The Tel-lite body mounted on the Bedford KMS (as illustrated) is 14ft by 7ft Sin., has fixed sides and a hinged tailgate and carries 9 cu.yd, Arduous testing by Telehoist and Vauxhall Motors included a trial which simulated the effects of a 10.5 tons load stuck in the body at full tip, with a rear wheel dropped into a 12in. rut; no body distortion resulted from this test.

A Telehoist large-diameter four-stage single-ram heavy-duty gear is fitted at the front end and is pto driven. The tipping gear is below cab height when closed, to give clearance for hopper loading.

Telehoist Ltd., Cheltenham, Glos, now has this body in flow-line production, and claim that the Tel-lite tipper costs £100 less than any equivalent aluminium alloy tipper body on the market.
