MERCEDES HAS launched an uprated version of the Vito which is claimed to he the most powerful van on the UK market.
The Vito 123 produces a speedcamera-triggering 231hp with 345Nm of torque. Power comes from a 3.7-litre V6 petrol unit which propels the new model from 0-62mph in 8.3 seconds with a top speed of -I -25mph.
It is aimed primarily at the emergency services with target sales of 100 units a year.
Features include air-con, alloy wheels and an automatic gearbox; prices start at £19,260 for the Vito 123 Compact.
