• The German Truck Grand Prix last week was won by outsider Dieter Hauser. The West German drove his class C Transimex MAN 19.462 to victory in appalling weather conditions and clocked the fastest lap time at linin 43.33sec at a lap speed of 105.529km, although the Nurburgring track was virtually flooded.
