• Esso, in its centenary year in the UK, has completed a £26 million investment in its lubricants operation at Purfleet.
The depot has a high-bay warehouse with AGVs (automated guided vehicles). Other technology includes: auto tank gauging remote valving; hose "pits" replaced with swing arms; computer-controlled automated blending/mixing; automated filling and bulkloading racks.
