Nine 15-16-year-olds have a chance to win a CPC — a certificate of pugnacious clouting — by courtesy of Daf Trucks (GB), which, when it comes to marketing commercial vehicles, certainly knows where to hit. The youths are offered a boxing scholarship by Daf in conjunction with Alan Minter in September.
I would be hard pressed to think kindly of my benefactors when I was lying on my back, stimulating the sport rather too close to the "grass roots," as Daf puts it. But being beaten up has never been my idea of a fascinating hobby.
