Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Trans-Action, the haulage campaign group fighting for fairer Fuel duty rates, has written to Eddie Stobart urging him to join the organisation and help set up a mass lobby of Parliament for the middle of next month.

Frank Stears, one of Trans-Action's leading members, says he wants every haulier in the UK, including Stobart, to send just one person to the lobby. That, he points out, could mean more than 40,000 people marching on London. "We need to replicate what the farmers did last year," says Stears. "They captured the public's attention." He is angered by what he sees as the lack of action from the Road Haulage Association and the Freight Transport Association in securing a date for a parliamentary lobby.

"I hate to think that they are trying to silence us and keep us quiet," says Stears. "I have news for them—we aren't dead yet. If they don't want to organise a date we'll go ahead and do it ourselves."

Anyone wanting to join Trans-Action's lobby should call 01233 641421 or 0860 547700, or fax 01233 638817.
