The 12-year contract with Oxford brewer Hall has created 25 jobs, including 10 drivers and eight drivers' mates, at a purpose-built depot in the city.
BRS Western, part of BRS' parent company National Freight Consortium, has bought eight Ford Cargo 1615 16tonners to handle deliveries to 500 retailers within an 80km radius of Oxford. The company is handling all the financial and administrative details of the operation from a 24-hour computerised stock-control centre.
