• A case involving more than 200 alleged drivers' hours and tachograph offences against international haulier Norman Lewis Tankers and 19 of its drivers has been adjourned for the second time by Selby magistrates.
Ten of the drivers are accused of making false entries in their tachograph charts and the Goole-based company is accused of aiding and abetting them to do so. The remainder of the allegations involve accusations of excessive driving hours, taking insufficient rest periods and failing to keep records.
The company also faces 16 allegations that it failed to produce tachograph charts.
The magistrates adjourned the hearing until March when three days have been set aside.
