A TRIAL SCHEME to provide a roundabout at the Liverpool mouth of the Birkenhead Tunnel could become a permanent arrangement if the scheme is a success.
The experimental system which was introduced on January 11 will allow traffic from Birkenhead to turn right into Vyhitechapel to reach southern areas of the city and cross city traffic to by-pass the tunnel and travel north along Byrom Street.
