that Coventry Corporation could no longer provide administrative facilities for the Lorry Driver of the Year Competition, the National Rxecutive on Wednesday accepted unreservedly an offer by COMMERCIAL MOTOR to sponser and administer the competition and to assume financial responsibility. The national organizing secretary, Mr.

Mervyn Miles, is now relinquishing the post, which will be taken up by Mr. Alan Havard, editor Of COMMERCIAL MOTOR.

Details of the change-over in secretariat are to be worked out by a sub-committee.

The National Final will this year again be held at Bramcote. It is expected that new centres will join the competition at Grimsby, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee.

The following dates for eliminating rounds were announced: March 26, Weymouth; April 24, Dunfermline; May 22, South Ruislip; June 5, Coventry, Fleetwood and Newcastle; June 12, Kent; June 19, Leeds, Leicester and Northampton; July 10, Stoke on Trent.
