Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IT appears to me, in reading the letter from B. T. Pratt I published in your issue dated December 24, that he may have gained the wrong impression from my communication of November 26. My object in writing was to give support to the letters from R. A. Quested and R. G. Hibberd of October 29, who, in my opinion were pointing out the differences between the wages of some bus drivers referred to in a previous issue of your journal and their own basic rates.

There are one or two points raised by Mr. Pratt on which I would like to comment. No doubt he is correct in saying that my average weekly gross wage during 26 weeks was well over £9 for an average of 54 hr. 20 min. actually worked. For example, £9 3s. 6d. is the payment for 59 hr., but on one of my pay slips, the full particulars are: time worked 54 hr. 10 min., time
