Lloyd Fraser, Premier Foods, Unipart Logistics, Wincanton, Skills for Logistics, the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, and recruitment firm BIS Henderson have joined forces to create a new degree to address the shortage of graduate talent in logistics.
Under the formation of the Novus Trust, the four-year Logistics and Supply Chain BSc degree will cover: supply chain management; finance; statistics; organisational structure and methods; sociology; psychology; transport network design; warehouse design; inventory management; supply chain IT; and HR management.
The first students will begin their degree in September 2013 at Huddersfield University. Novus is aiming to roll the degree out to other universities after two years.
