Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Shell UK Oil — currently the largest operator of Foden 6x 4 tractive units in the country — has bought another 18 in a deal worth around 20.75 million at list prices.

Eight of the S106T 38-tonne GVW artic units are fitted with Foden's new Air-Trac rear suspension option, which has been developed in the United States by Paccar's stablemate, Peterbilt. The purchase makes Shell the first UK operator to put Air-Trac equipped Fodens into service. The remaining S106Ts have FF20 rubber suspension.

All 18 S106Ts are powered by Perkins Eagle 300Li engines, and each has an impressive list of safety features including Jake Brakes, Haldex automatic brake adjusters, Girling Skidcheck on all axles, Fidus road speed limiters and automatic air tank drain valves.

Shell UK Oil now has over 100 6x 4 Foden artics, and it will monitor the performance of the latest Air Trac-equipped models in service, in conjunction with Foden.

Foden's factory-fitted fire screen and electrical isolation kit is fitted to meet dangerous goods regulations.
