AN application by E. H. Sims, Ltd., Sheffield, for a new holiday express service to London Airport (The Commercial Motor, January 24) has been refused by the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners in a reserved decision.

Evidence was given that the service was mainly intended for people wanting to fly to the Channel Islands, but it was pointed out that most of these flights had been diverted to Gatwick.

An application by C. G. Littlewood, Ltd., Sheffield, for excursions to London Airport on Sundays, Bank Holidays and during Sheffield local holidays, was gran led.
