Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

UK MARKET LEADER Daf has overtaken Volvo to become the second largest player in tractor sales throughout Europe — with only MAN left to beat.

At Des annual Christmas dinner, Kerry McDonagh, board member for marketing and sales, revealed that the Dutch manufacturer is on its way to achieving a 20% market share in Western Europe.

He also addressed the issue of Euro-4 and 5 compliance and the UK's lack of incentives to take Euro-5 trucks early, unlike several other EU countries. Up to 45% of Dafs sold in the UK are now Euro5 compliant: in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands the proportion is over 85%.

Mcllonagh said: "British truck operators aren't intrinsically opposed to cleaner trucks. They want lower emissions but need some encouragement to make the change."
