Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

T 've been a Commercial 1 Motor reader for 25 years, but I must take you to task over your reports on fuel prices. You write (CM 2-8 Nov) that hauliers are "enjoying the 3p a litre fall in diesel prices over the past two months".

Even taking into account the Budget rises since that was written, your figures are simply unrealistic. Pump prices might have fallen (even if the Chancellor has now put them up again), but bunker prices, which are much more significant to most hauliers, have certainly not You won't find many hauliers who are celebrating a fall in their bunkered diesel prices in the last year, even before Mr Clarice's 16p a gallon Christmas present increase. Bunker prices are the ones that matter.
