BRI I AIN's largest coachbuildcr, Plaxtons GB, has suffered a. significant slump in its profits for the year to September 20.
Profits from its luxury coach building and coach and special products services divisions dropped from £1.3 roil Zion in 1984 to 024,000.
This was said to be caused by the contraction in the bus and coach market after the miners' strike and the uncertainty created by impending deregulation.
