The company, which will also take over B.T.C. bus undertakings, shipping cornpanies, and the business of Thomas Cook and Son Ltd., confirmed the appointment of Sir Reginald Wilson as deputy chairman and managing director.

Mr. G. W. Quick-Smith, 57-year-old barrister and, until nationalization; secrttary of the National Road Transport Federation, was appointed chief secretary. In 1959 he became adviser (special projects) to the B.T.C.

The company's comptroller will be 52-year-old Mr. H. E. Osborn, a former member of the London Passenger Transport Board and lately financial controller of the B.T.C. For many years he has been a director of various bus companies and is at present a director of Southdown Motor Services Ltd. and Western Welsh Omnibus Co. Ltd.

A third appointment was that of Mr. L. Mapleston, a former L.M.S. railwayman, as secretary. He has acted lately as secretary of the Southern Area Board of the B.T.C.

The headquarters of the Holding Company will be at Melbury House, Melbury Terrace, London, N.W.1.
