Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

.1-1 A NEW type of bulk grain vehicle, produced by Carmichael and Sons (Worcester) Ltd., The Butts, Worcester. is a multi-hopper type that can• be fitted with separate demountable cohtainers of differing capacity. In the accompanying illustration of a four-compartment buiker based on an Albion six-wheeled chassis, the front and rear containers each have a capacity of 3 tons, whilst the capacity of each of the two centre containers is 4 tons. weather protection being provided by a -tarpaulin. Each container can be removed individually from the chassis.

• The base of each hopper is -equipped with a slide for controlling the rate at which the material is fed to a chain-andflight conveyor running the full length of the platform. This delivers the material to a hydraulically driven rotary-seal valve at the rear, to which compressed air is fed for pneumatic discharge from a blower located in a cradle below the chassis frame and .driven from the power take-off.

The conveyor is also operated by a hydraulic motor and the drive of both motors incorporates a reduction gearbox to provide correct matching of output speeds. If required, the vehicle can be used as a platform lorry for the carriage of sacks, which can be' emptied into apertures in the floor for pneumatic discharge of the material front the rotary seal.
