WrITT.ST the Nottingham Cerpera_ tion is manifesting no especial enterprise in regard to an extended policy as to the use of motorbuses, of which the city stands much in need, the neighbouring authority of West Bridgford, . which controls the affairs of the large residential district contiguous to
the city npon its spat:hem s;tie, is showing its continued reliance upon a form of traction which has preyed of admirable service to the suburban areas. The District Council at its last meeting determined to inake-an addition to its already excellently organized fleet of conveyances. Two new busts of the largest
type are to be ordered, and in. view of West 13ridgford's action, the supineness of the Nottingham Corporation is not a little surprising. The need for buses has been demonstrated at many essential points within the city area, but the predilection for fixed tramway. tracks appears, for the present., unalterable.
