• The Freight Transport Association plans to boost drivers' communication skills by joining forces with Canterbury Christ Church University College to offer foreign language courses of "on the road" speak.

The new programme, to be launched on 21 October at Salomons in Tunbridge Wells, will include a set of 10 language prompt cards in 12 language combinations including Bulgarian, French, German, Dutch and Polish.
