THE ASSOCIATION of M politan Authorities' Plan and Transportation Comm wants new legislation to b traduced to accelerate procedure for raising toll: tunnels and bridges.
According to Jack Gral the chairman of the commi "The process of increasing is slow, tedius and costly. system urgently requires re' and we are pressing Go% ment for action."
The Association thinks tha law should be changed to en local government to alter "grossly inefficient" current ation.
It recommends that respc bility for toll increases shoul taken from the Departmen Transport Inspectors and g to the traffic commissioner to county councils.
