Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

POWELL Duffryn's two waste disposal equipment companies, Powell Duffryn Engineering of Llantrisant, South Wales and Geesink BV of Emmeloord, Holland, are to be amalgamated and in future will be operated under the name of Powell Duffryn Geesink.

The following is a review made by the parent company of its two subsidiaries' activities: "The manufacture of static compactors and refuse transfer stations is to be phased out, leaving the new company to specialise in vehicle mounted equipment. This decision will lead to the loss of 'about 100 jobs' at the South Wales plant because Powell Duffryn intends to relocate its manufacturing operations there to smaller premises in the same area. Static compactors were built at the Llantrisant plant.

"It is intended to launch into the UK in 1983, the Geesink Mammoth range of refuse collection vehicles and rear-end loaders.

"Powell Duffryn Geesink will also continue to make the Rolonof range of hook-type container handling units, the Meiller range of skip-loader units, and the Skip Pak range of portable packers, complementary to the Rolonof and Meiller units."
