• The date when David MacBrayne will cease road passenger stage services and coach work (CM lune 5) will be some time early in October; after that the firm will concentrate on sea transport and road goods haulage. The Scottish Bus Group will take over MacBrayne's passenger routes and will spread these over three of its existing companies.
There will be no changes immediately, the Scottish Bus Group says, and no redundancies, but the firm cannot rule out the possibility of rationalization at a later date.
