The new president of NAFWR Mr orge Bartup (who has also been iirman of the Association's costings nmittee), has written to all members of ; National Association of Furniture arehousemen and Removers pointing out it it was a matter of extreme urgency for my members to review their charges. He ;es all members to examine their costs refully to see what increases they have Tered since their last price review, and to whether their charges are sufficient to ver the cost of present day operations.
He continues: "I know, only too well, it having assessed costs and charges, rticularly where it seems obvious that a rly large increase is necessary, members hesitant to apply them. Not to do so, wever, in the present circumstances could suicidal for some businesses where real Dfit margins are already very small or en non-existent."
