Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW type of dual-purpose van, the first of a batch to be operated by :he S.P.D. organization in the more sparsely populated areas. of Scotland,. has just been supplied by Smith's Delivery. Vehicles Ltd, Designed and constructed in close co-operation with S.P.D. engineers, these vehicles will he used for the distribution of dry goods as well as Bird's Eye frozen foods, for which purpose a 200-cu.-ft. refrigerated compartment is provided in the •front portion of the van body. It is expected that operation will be highly economical ander those conditions where the provision of separate transport for the two types of goods carried is not warranted.

Based on the B.M.C. 7-ton, FC chassiscab of 180-in, wheelbase, the van bodies are in light alloy, including floor planking, with polystyrene insulation, for general protection and the front portion forms an independent deep-freeze compartment, insulated with 5 in. of foamed polyurethane.

Access to the van proper is through Cull-width roller shutters, while the refrieerated compartment can be loaded through a plug door opening into the van interior or entered through a full-height recessed side door, fitted at an angle to form a step well; the side door and step well are covered by roller shutters to give a smooth -vehicle exterior.

Winget Dole hold-over plates, operating in conjunction with Pressed Steel commercial condensing equipment, maintain sub-zero temperatures for up to about 36 hours, a feature necessitated by the hold-up risks ,involved on widespread delivery rounds.
