"NEW LOOK" BUS ORDERS

ROTHERHAM has ordered 10 double-decker bus chassis from Transport Vehicles (Daimler), Ltd. They will be of the latest CVG type and will incorporate the "new look" frontend structure, similar to those which have been already supplied to many municipal operators in Britain.

An order has also been placed by the Kowloon Bus Co., Hong Kong, for 20 lightweight versions of the chassis.

NEW SAFETY INVENTION

AKERBSIDE reflector for use in addition to existing " cat's-eye " reflectors in the centre of the road has been invented by Mr. G. A. Broadhurst, assistant surveyor to Rutland County Council. A simple wiper mechanism, operated by vehicles passing over a stud at the side of the road, keeps the reflector clean.
