Scene : A rather lonely spot with a ditched steam ,wagon. Mr. Knowall, passing in a car, stops. '` Can I be of any assistance?" asked he.
"No, thanks," said the driver. "In another minute I'll pull out under my own power."
Mr. ICnowall, dissatisfied, looks over the boiler and suddenly said: "Here, you'll never get out without help. Why, your gauge only shows 10 lb. pressure! setter Jet me send you out a rescue wagon."
"Nothing of the sort," retorted the driver. " See that safety valve screwed down? Well, I'd have you to know that the needle's been round twice on the gauge already and I've got 10 lb. over and above that !"
Hurried exit of the intruder!
