AN ARSON ATTACK at Derbyshire-based Milltech Haulage caused damage costing in excess of £70,000, insurers have ruled.
The Winksworth operator, which had six of its 44-tonne lorries burnt out in its yard on 8 April (CM 14 April), says it is
struggling to keep afloat with its
remaining eight trucks because none of them are artics, which are vital for many of its contracts.
Owner Greg Dukes says: “Our insurance company has valued the damage at about £70,500.
“But the problem is that while we are waiting for the money, we are without vital HGVs, and there is only so long our customers will be compromising and understanding about our situation.” ● Anyone with any information, please contact DC Kevin Matlock on 0345 123 3333.
