BIBBY DISTRIBUTION has recruited John Finn from Yodel to help integrate its recent acquisitions.
Finn, who was responsible for the integration of more than 8,000 vehicles after the acquisition of DHL’s UK parcel operation by Yodel in 2010, joins Bibby as fleet and procurement director.
The Liverpool-based company had a busy 2010, increasing its fleet by more than 1,100 vehicles due to its acquisition of Taygroup, TM Logistics and major contracts from MRS Distribution.
Paul Reilly, Bibby divisional director, says: “Finn’s skills are perfectly suited to assist us in achieving our business goals. His track record of slick asset integration, people management and strategic realisation of cost efficiencies make him a very powerful addition to the team.” Finn will also concentrate on reducing the company’s impact on the environment, the analysis of fuel and driver trends, securing best value in asset maintenance and implementing more effective performance monitoring.
